February is already here and its Super Bowl fever everywhere and, aside from the fierce football play on the field, there are also the Superbowl commercials that have become a recurring tradition. Still, what makes Superbowl commercials so special? Superbowl is considered the biggest event on TV with the highest viewership. The event also has the highest rating points. Imagine! An estimate of 90 million people watch the Superbowl on the famous Superbowl Sunday. Due to the high rating points, the Superbowl commercials are priced are very high rates. Advertising during the Superbowl is considered to be a prestigious thing for the companies.

The Superbowl takes place at Indianapolis on February 5. As always, the competition on the Superbowl commercials slot have already started. The cost of the Superbowl commercials can easily reach millions of dollars. To give you an idea of how much the Superbowl commercials cost, a 30 second slot for a commercial can easily cost around 2.6 million dollars! Important companies that want their products advertised during the Superbowl, must book their places one year ahead. The companies that promote their commercials come from all the domains: from cars, beer to watches or all kinds of services. To make the Superbowl commercials more interesting, some companies resort to celebrities that promote the products. Therefore, Superbowl commercials are actually a celebrity parade. Just to name some of the celebrities that appear in the Superbowl commercials: big names such as Eminem, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian or Britney Spears.

Superbowl commercials are not only a time out from the football game, but also a means of relaxing and having a laugh with your family and friends. On a more psychological level, it is very interesting to see exactly how many people are going to eventually buy the products advertised in the Superbowl commercials. Some say that these Superbowl commercials are a waste of time and money. The main thing is to take a brake from the game, while watching some fun, interesting commercials.
